Food Traceability List (FTL)

The Food Traceability List (FTL) was created by the FDA as part of the Food Safety Modernization Act.  It identifies “high-risk” foods requiring additional record-keeping to enhance traceability in the food supply chain. This list is organized into categories that include many items and is designed to allow for faster identification and removal of potentially contaminated food, thereby reducing food-borne illnesses and deaths.

We have put together a booklet to help you have a quick reference about the various food groups identified and the traceability information required for each group, throughout the supply chain.
